Why, Hello.

I see things are still flowing peacefully by without my input. The City Utility, ECP, is chugging right along. The City is, of course, doing a great job with the pools. City Golf? Never better. On the down side tho, we have an encredibly low unemployment rate, new construction is swinging right along, the housing market is only decent, and it is a beautiful spring day in Montana.

So, anyway. Belated Memorial Day weekend report-We went to a lake. Caught some fish. Of course. The guys got sunburned, me and the kids didn’t, (much) because we (me) know to put on sunscreen before (and after) you turn lobster red.

I always find it inspiring to see all the flags flying. Doesn’t matter where we go, the boats have flags, the camps have flags, all the cabins along the shore have flags. Red white and blue, out in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful. The occasional POWMIA flag, those always get me.

The men and women who paid the price for our freedom. I wonder if the men who died on that Normandy Shore would approve of what we have made of their sacrifice. I wonder if the men on Bunker Hill would agree with todays views on free enterprise, and freedom of religion. Of course, they are not here. We are. Ordering our pizza and our birth control, and damn anyone that gets in our way. I’ll use my rights to try to squash yours. Don’t  inconvenience me, I have rights!

Anyhow. I have things to say on that subject, but I’ll try to get to it later, and most likely I won’t have time, and you will never get to enjoy my words of wisdom.
