I haven’t felt like writing much lately. I try, and it is all crap. So I’m going to try writing without thinking about what I’m trying to say, and we can see how that goes. If it confuses and befuddles one reader, I will be joyful.
I haven’t even read the paper for, like, two weeks. Amazing I still have a clue what is going on… Oh, yeah, I read blogs.
I notice that despite virtually everything else about it changing, the date for the coal plant going online still hasn’t changed much. I find that rather incredible. What else do I find incredible you ask? Well, let me tell ya.
1) NO RISK (self explanatory?)
2) Spending more money on marketing
3) Our local paper reporting on a lawsuit that is based on access to public records, which said paper has, to the best of my knowledge, never even requested themselves, not that the issues are something a paper would want to know about. I mean, a City government that attempts to withhold information relevant to every citizen of this city isn’t news-is it? Is it? is public access to public records something that a news organization might report on? Is the withholding of those documents something that could possibly get Ye Olde Newspaper Editor’s panties in a bunch? (FYI-it is a crime to try to pass off non-authentic huckleberries as authentic. So knock that shit off.)
Local Paper Demands Acountibility!
A local paper filed suit today, alleging that a City Government wrongfully withheld public documents legally requested by the citizens. Citing it’s historical responsibility to report information relevant to the community and it’s citizens, the newspaper demanded the release of all documents relevant to the proposed coal plant near Our Town, USA. All it takes is a trip to the papers own online forum to see the confusion and lack of knowledge running unchecked through this community. In an effort to answer the questions being asked by members of the community…
Ok, maybe that is a bit dramatic.
But is it?

I am with you. I can see why the Tribune might not did too deep into issues involving their advertisers but I really do not understand why they give the city administration such a free pass. I think that taking on the role of citizen advocate would sell more papers than the usual drivel, like the imposter huckleberries.

Lots of good thoughts in there. But for the sake of your joy, I admit to being confused and befuddled, too.
